Really enjoyed this- very natural style of winemaking.. Some may probably be thrown by the clarity- but this is all about the taste and the nose.. Scent Reminded me a lot of the la clarine farms syrah..

I'm one of the winemakers. I am partial, but it is an extremely natural wine, alive in the glass, with changeable savory character in front of deep fruit.

Tasted exactly like a dill pickle. Ended up doing shots of Jameson and chasing with this. Put the leftovers in my Bloody Mary the next day.

Los Pilares San Diego County Red Blend 2013: Fresh. Natural. Extraordinary. Consisting of 50% Grenache & 50% Carignan, this was a light-bodied, extremely unique wine. Red fruits (cranberry & cherry). Plum. Earth. Short finish. For me, the wine was a bit thin on structure but very clean & natural tasting. This was my first San Diego County wine and it left me quite intrigued & impressed. Hoping to explore other San Diego wines in the near future. Cheers🍷
