Tres beau sauternes! En demi bouteille...il a perdu le côté petrolé qui me fait pas tripper....et on a tout simplement un beau sucre. Tire d éponge, miel, abricot confit et belle texture sans sensation de lourdeur. Bravo!

Excellent wine, the style is minimalist but very focussed. The sensation is that of a natural but elegant wine, some sort of a gentleman farmer style, I love it. The nose starts with some leathery hints and with some air it gets quite fruit forward with an accent on black currant and small red fruits. The mouth shows very youthful with firm tannins and a vibrant acidity. I'll buy again. — 6 years ago
Interesting wine. Very sweet almost jammy sensation at first, reminding me of a Zinfandel, but it it set my palate to the point that it became more balanced with darker dryer undernotes. It was very balanced and focused. Good acidity and fine integrated tannins, so we kept drinking it and we’re actually sad when it was all gone. — 3 years ago
Third tasting and it reveals itself at its peak in a style that recalls Cornas or a first-class Saint-Joseph: Smoked bacon, animal, crunchy and powerful. Gourmet sensation of residual sugar. Caramel, roasting. Long and refined finish with drying and persistent tannins. Magnificent price/pleasure ratio. 2016 is perfectly balanced.
Magnifique rapport prix/plaisir. 2016 est parfaitement à l’équilibre. — 3 years ago

Color of dull ruby with shades of purple and brown on the rim, a bit cloudy. Nose of cocoa, spice, burning sensation in the nose, fermented cabbage, carbonated water, and a bit berries. Taste basically follows the nose with quite good tannins and slightly sweet, some tobacco leaves, and some bitter tangerine zest. Aftertaste is medium with some more sweet ripe grape and peppery note. A bit light yet on par. — 6 years ago
Wow, just Wow--Simply in a perfect place and drinking beautifully, the 2005 Domaine de Caillou Les Quartz Chateauneuf du Pape takes some time to open up. Nearly an hour in a decanter transforms plum sauce and brown spice into ripe cherry, blackberry with a citrus spritz, sweet rose, smoky minerals, undergrowth and animal musk. It's silky and rich on the palate, without being heavy, showing mineral-infused red and black fruits, backed by zippy acidity and spice, leaving a fresh yet grippy sensation. The finish is long, and still structured, teeming with lively energy and sizzling away to a note of tart raspberry and tobacco. This has a decade worth of maturity in store for us... If you can find it, don't hesitate! — 6 years ago
High acid juicy juicy juicy!! Red jelly bean (jolly rancher brand). Butter fruits, maybe overripe plum. Sensation of fizziness in my nose but it’s a flat wine. Juicy plump slightly overripe strawberries on the nose. Ok I think def watermelon jolly rancher too. YUMMMM!! — 6 years ago
Quality check on Le Raganie Brunello di Montalcino 2013 and what a showstopper, starting off a bit shy but evolves into a layered complexity with plenty of finesse, with four hours in the decanter its hard to raise your nose from the glass. Red, very vibrant fruit is backed up by dried spices and pronounced but balanced savoury complexity of forrest floor and crushed stones. A subtle volatile lift brings further complexity. Fresh palate with, fine grained tannins and a tactile sensation that brings the wine throughout its long finish. Not Brunello, its a trademark Ragnaie! — 7 years ago
Burgundy color. Shy nose of cherry and spice. Intense but flavorful on opening and through first evening. Day 2 nose of cherry and roses. Tannins are well balanced leaning towards chewiness. Cherries, cranberries, leather, bark, some mineral, and a hint of dark chocolate on the palate. Moderate density. Fairly long finish with pleasant tingling sensation. — 3 years ago
Touch of sweetness at first glance, perish and strong sensation after taste — 3 years ago
Magnifique Champagne, un peu brioché et toast mais à peine avec une fraîcheur exemplaire, une belle acidité, assez long en bouche, des bulles fines qui se dissipent rapidement mais vraiment délicieux. 92-93
very nice Champagne, tight and short lived bulles but still the wine has good acidity, lightly toasted and pastry notes, fresh and delicious, intense flavors and more then decent length. — 5 years ago
Vintage 2016. The color is bright and ruby. The nose is red fruit and minerals. The mouth keeps the same sensation the confy increases, but well-rounded. The aftre taste is short, which is a pity. — 6 years ago
Not a huge Syrah drinker but this is a good one — 6 years ago
A nice crisp white wine that really might be one of the better examples of true minerality that I’ve seen. The sensation of wet stone really comes through - would give this bottle to someone who wants to understand what people mean when they say that. Precise and enjoyable with a long finish. — 6 years ago
Delectable Wine

The 2018 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico opens with an herbal thrust that gives way to dried violets, lavender and crushed blackberries. It is sleek and racy in feel with lifted textures and tart wild berry fruits offset by zesty acidity. It tapers off long and staining, lifted by a bump of residual acidity as notes of red plum leave a pleasantly tart sensation. I quite like the energy here and expect that the 2018 will enjoy a broad and open drinking window. (Eric Guido, Vinous, February 2024)
