Interesting! Better with food than alone but really fresh and dry. Nice option for a lighter white. — 2 months ago

Nightfall Barossa Chardonnay

Barossa Chardonnay mixed with Adelaide hills Pinot on skins amazing cloudy orange colour, surely whole bunch. Tastes like a Chardonnay to me but with that crazy pale orange. Natural wine so I read, delicious. 11.7%, no sulphides, dry long finish, just right acidity, citrus with a hint of strawberry/pear something? — 3 years ago

Mt Compass Ouillé Savagnin 2018

I thought it was very good. Hard to determine the variety though as it was a bit too acidic for my liking. But with food it was lovely — 4 years ago

Tastes better at Stoney.

Château Smith Haut Lafitte

Pessac-Léognan Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2013

Delectable Wine
8.9

The 2013 Smith Haut Lafitte probably has one over the Domaine de Chevalier at the moment: a little more fruit and amplitude, certainly more delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, one of the spiciest Pessac-Léognan wines, yet there is just a scintilla of under-ripeness right on the finish. But at least there's personality in situ. Tasted at Bordeaux Index's 10-Year On tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2023)
