This wine is made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, offering vibrant red fruit flavors, balanced tannins, and a delicate finish that showcases the family's dedication to quality and legacy in the region as they have been crafting wine for 600+ years.
On the nose the fruity notes are prominent yet well balanced by subtle touch of violets and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is remarkably balanced and characterized by some striking aromas of strawberries and ripe cherries. As a mouthfeel, medium-bodied and remains on the tart side with a very long smooth finish. I pizza and red sauces pastas wine. — 15 days ago
Tawny coloration with the slightest bit of transparency. On the nose, cherry, currants, plum, forest floor, sweet tobacco and florals. On the palate, full body, cherry, plum, spice, leather, sweet tobacco, earth/dust/minerals, tannins strong and chewy. Long finish of chocolate and sweet berry. Layered and complex wine. — 20 days ago
2019 opened May 2025. Freshly tan leather on the nose. Black cherries on the front. Medium tannic structure. Nice mix of mineral high notes and dark chocolate low notes on the mid palate and the back palate. Short finish. Adequate, but this is probably the best you can get in the $50 price range in the US. — a day ago

Well structured and balanced, it displays an iconic ruby/garnet appearance, followed by secondary and tertiary aromas and flavors of woodland herbs, dried fruits and nuts, plus flavorsome balsamic nuances, and interesting red fruit undertones.
Overall, quite elegant and refined; medium bodied, with ample acidity, dusty tannins and a long, satisfying finish. If you’ve got it, now is the time. — 16 days ago
