Drank at slack winery. Bold and buttery. — 6 years ago
Amazing aromatics with dried cherry, some dried herbs (sages, Rosemary), a touch of anise. Very fresh, juicy, the tannic grip is still powerful but overall this is a very elegant wine. Can hold for another 10y easy. — 7 years ago
Smooth, we’ll-balanced French Pinot Noir enjoyed with pasta bolognese at Bitter End, Wells, ME — 2 years ago

Bright red berry fruit aromas and flavors with earthy hints of tobacco and cocoa. Hint of baking spice on the nice finish. Medium bodied and quite rich. Nice. Thank You Ron B! — 5 years ago

Liking this. — 8 years ago
Unmistakably old world. All savoury on the nose - truffle, cedar, salami, and spices. Palate is medium bodied but robust. Perfect balance between red/dark fruit, and savoury notes. Quite tannic. Still young! Amazing p/q. — 4 years ago
Very smooth and well balanced. Very tasty! — 6 years ago
Very decent Graves red, aged very well. The tanins were softer than expected after 44 years but the fruit was very much there, punchy and mellow at the same time. Notes de prune et de muscade, fruit ample et tanins sages. Belle rémanence en bouche. — 6 years ago

Clay and juicy cassis. Black olive. Tannins taste like an old varnished bureau. This is the wine that made me love wine again — especially French wine — and motivated me to start systematically tasting and making notes. Then of course my liquor store stopped carrying it. I was delighted to find a bottle while traveling. Still a wonderful value and delicious, though age would improve it. 92 or … 93! — 7 months ago
