young but so drinkable now. don’t think it needs the 5 to 6 years to peak as suggested by Ridge! — 5 days ago
Nose has ripe blueberry, over-ripe blackberry, ripe plum, blackberry jam, faint anise, dry cigar, faint wood smoke and a bag of green & red peppers.
Palate has ripe plum, blackberries, black cherry, prune, old chocolate, faint moist earth and light artificial sugar.
Incredibly smooth, light tannins, but what an amazing red blend! Such an easy drinker, but coupled with a great CA vintage, a total win.
Cleaned the grill today, never ever done this in March in the Berkshires! Clean grill and warm weather equals an early start to the grilling season; beef flap steak from Kinderhook Farm (Valatie, NY) tonight, 135°F with 15m rest, beautiful pair to this wine.

I liked this a lot, for a bigger wine it was great. I might have thought this was Napa cab, but this had big boysenberry notes along with lots of American oak. The American oak on it wasn’t totally my style because I felt it was a little too involved BUT it was done well. (Difference in personal preference as opposed to bad execution.). I really did like this as a large bold wine. Didn’t feel a lot towards zin but super fun! — 2 months ago
Deep, complex nose with big bold jams. Smooth and wonderfully dry with chocolate, blackberry, and a hint of tobacco. It’s delicious. — a month ago
