Rattlesnake Rock Syrah 2018

Wow! Even better than a few months ago. Olives, blueberries, game, forest, pepper, plums. It’s interesting having this a few days after storm Syrah. Very similar. Love that there are more of these us syrahs with good fruit but balance. Central coast style. — 21 hours ago

Thierry Allemand

Chaillot Cornas Syrah 2015

After 2 hours in the decanter 2015 Chaillot is showing beautifully, fully open and giving wafting distinctive Allemand aromas with a seductive, mineral inflicted palette and fine grained tannins. It shows the warmth of the vintage but not at all hot, and its liquid rock minerality and floral lift adds a seamless balance to its fruit character. This is going to keep getting better. Love these wines. — 6 months ago

Blue Rock

Blue Rock Baby Blue Red 2015

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Showing a gorgeous nose, once it opens up.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate and nicely balanced.

Showing blackberries, black currants, blueberries, black plums, cooked cherries, spices, oak, licorice, chocolates, tobacco and herbs.

Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This 10-year-old is drinking very nicely now, and probably drinking at its peak. Will continue to drink nicely in the next couple of years.

Showing a soft mouthfeel with nice complexity. This 2015 is showing a lot of sediments. Easy drinking, soft and smooth with good structure.

Fruit forward, elegant and spicy. Good right out of the bottle, and better with some air time.

A blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 11% Syrah, 10% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 4% Malbec.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$30 (current vintage).

Château d'Esclans

Domaines Sacha Lichine Rock Angel Côtes de Provence Rosé Blend 2021

I love a Provence Róse with a little age to it! Presents with cherries, strawberries, melon, nectarine, and cucumber. Nice viscosity on the palate, nice long herbal finish, with a touch of lavender. I prefer Rock Angel over Whispering, which has a bitter floral element to it that bites, just my taste preference. — a month ago
