This was a hedonistic delight! Bursting with fruit, fresh and lovely. No need to overthink this one, just enjoy! — 10 months ago
+1 hour decant(decent chunky/fine sediment). A wonderful dark ruby red color. On the nose: jammy plum/dark cherry, floral, graphite, sandalwood, crushed stone. Taste: drinking great...silky, opulent, balanced wine with blackberry jam, cherry, earth, currants, and a peppery, saline-mineral long dry finish. YUM! — a year ago

Columbia County 2.0: interesting drinking this day after a German Pinot, as I found them surprisingly related. A fave Beaujo producer’s Morgon, also a cooler tone & elegant. Blackberries & cassis, darker berries and a fine grittiness to integrated tannins. I like this drinking window (6 yrs) but imagine several if not more left. — 3 years ago
Matured Chablis. Well integrated, and complex. harmonious texture underlined integrated acidity. — 5 years ago
Astonishing find, single bottle from AA way back, powerful, subtle, complex, mouth-coating, yet lifted into long finish. Wow. From ‘30s vines and just missed 1cru due to slanted exposition. Stunner — 6 months ago
Wow aged nicely. Minerals floral notes followed by firm biting texture laced with mature fruit notes and long finish. — 10 months ago
This was lovely! We fried some zucchini blossoms and made a margherita pizza. The fresh acidity cut right through the richness of the fried food and the creamy mozzarella, and the herbal fruit brought out the best in the tomato sauce and fresh basil. Enjoy this wine! — a year ago

Oddly enough had to go to Ohio to drink Ca grapes. Solid Barbera. Let it sit for a bit and when it opens , dam. That’s a good wine — 5 years ago

Interesting. Some age on it now and a lovely amber color. Rich and oxidative. Not where my tastes have evolved but really quite good. — 4 years ago

Gorgeous nose of wet stones, wet earth, wild mint and more. A scene in nature type of nose. Stunning. 9.7 nose. Palate is killer but also needs some air as it’s juicy but also angular and backwards. But as it airs it gains a sweet lemon/lime intensity and that classic Defaix oily texture. Piercingly mineral finish. Air will make my score rise I surmise. — 5 months ago
