Amazing. Fresh, gorgeous. Mint and grilled meat with wonderful fruit, leather. — a month ago
From magnum, savored over two days. Day one, excellent, but disappointing compared to 2001, also savored from magnum over prior two days. Day one, fruit, alcohol 15.1%, structure, fine, but a bit imbalanced, 94. Day two, superb: fruit, structure, concentration, balance all in harmony, alcohol not in play, 98. Overall, 96. Who says you can’t age Zinfandel? — 3 months ago
Fantastic aged California cabernet. Blind I would have said Ridge Monte Bello from the mid 90s. It possesses those red cabernet fruit notes, eucalyptus, touches of fennel. Beautiful acidity and nice long pleasing finish. Plenty of depth and extract. Harkens to the good old days. — 2 months ago
Another really good Ravenswood; Cab Franc this! Solid body, lots of fruit, great tannin levels. — 3 months ago
A little on the tannin side but very good. The bouquet and aroma are different than many wi es. — 3 months ago
From magnum, consumed over two nights. Superbly balanced, all elements in harmony, reminiscent of an aged CdP or Priorat. On day two, a slight bitter or smoky finish emerged, vanished after an hour of air. Overall: 9.7. Aged zin rules! — 3 months ago
Smooth and sweet very delicious I give it a 9 had it with bacon wrapped shrimp — 3 months ago
Not seeing the bf for at least a day or so bc his roommate (who works at the airport) is ill. So...alone time.
Also so let us enjoy the hell out of affordable Zin. Ps bf you know I love you we are both doing our part to keep this nonsense from spreading.
But this zin!
Low cost. Full of raisin-y stuff.
That’s probably the second thing you’ll notice after—thinking “crushable”. — 4 months ago
