Rates next to Castillo. My new favorite for steak night. — 2 days ago
Nose of cherry, cranberry, violet, smoke, loam, beef jerky, and a slight medicinal phenolic note. Before it got some air, it had a reduced, carbonic impression. Complex.
Note quite as complex on the palate. Label describes it as "juicy" and it is indeed. Sour cherry and violet predominate with some hints of spice. There's a streak of med+ acidity throughout with soft, well integrated tannins.
A superbly elegant, well made wine. You would pay 2-2.5x this price for a Pinot with the same prowess (there's no Pinot Noir in this, but similarly structured). Would have never guessed this was from Portugal in a blind tasting. — 15 days ago
Rich nose, enjoyed with some peanut butter pie😍 well balanced — 9 days ago
Way more interesting than its price (but not its label!) infers. Loam and forest floor in the nose, raging currant, ash, and minerals in the mouth. I guess the syrah gives it the body, but it still surprised me. Love it! — 5 days ago
A stunning wine, hadit withe venision, beautiful pairing. A very smooth wine, with lots of aromas. Stays on the pallet for abit before toning off.
Aside from the pricepoint it is truly exctraordinary wine, but then again that is often the case. — 24 days ago
Big fruity, oaky, peppery nose. Mildly acidic with nice tannins and a bit of spicy aftertaste. — 3 days ago
