Cork disintegrated but this Dao is exceptional. Totally resolved, with nicely ripe fruit mingling with secondary and tertiary leather and dusty gravel notes. Velvety textured. Acids balanced. It could actually hold a few more years.

Really interesting wine. First impressions are that it’s heavy and earthy; but with time gives way to floral and bright fruit notes. @garagiste purchase - glad I have a few more bottles to explore.

Apr 22nd, 2022Just coming into its peak drinking window. A big serious wine. Black and blue fruits with charcoal, and cigar box. Very good! This still has 3 to 5 years probably in its peak drinking window.

Wow. Nose of dark red and blue fruit, cassis, currant, a touch of black peppercorns, dark bitter chocolate, pine sap and tree bark. The mouth feel is thick and coating, velvety, good acidity on the tip of the tongue and lush tannins. Similar flavor profile, has some nice chocolate notes, dark berries (blueberry finish), black current, less spice. Absolute beauty of a wine.
