Grande Cuvée Brut Champagne Blend

Somm David T
9.4

They are the King’s of Champagne for a reason.

Beautiful mousse. Both yellow & white stone fruits, tropicals, lime & lemon zest/pulp, green & red apple, cream to whipped cream, ginger skin, grey volcanics-limestone minerals, white spice, taunt chalk, baguette crust, sea fossils/foam, white spring flowers, yellow lilies, excellent acidity, balance, structure, tension & elegance for days with a finish that ends balanced on fruit & minerality.

La Grande Année Brut Chardonnay - Pinot Noir Rosé Blend 2004

Limpid and saline. Really pretty on the nose with some delicate sherried notes and a touch of wild strawberry. Precise and mineral. Very good — 25 days ago

Fully agree - but not every one keeps them for that long. I had a 1974 Krug some time back. One of the best wines i ever had. But on the shelf 1400$.
