Poggio alle Mura Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

A good use of oak across the entire range of Banfi in 2010-2011. Very classic in style and true Sangiovese character. Excellent!

Nicely aged, entering its tertiary phase but still some years ahead.

2.5 hours after opening. Brunello’s aroma with black fruits with coffee. Fruity concentrated. Coffee and Spiciness. Not so tannic, still need more years. 2011 @, WH -, 211118-220101

Excellent Brunello. Drinking well now. Medium round tannins. Wild berries with hints of pepper, spice and tobacco. Lovely depth and a long finish. Definitely drink again.

This is amazing juice. Sexy, opulent, tons of energy and verve. And still a baby in its development - the house style focuses on early drinkability. But with no corners cut on balance or depth. Paired with some incredible venison medallions, this put me on nuvola nove. 😁

Средней интенсивности гранат. Интенсивность средняя плюс, кожа, ягодное лукошко в варенье, бальзамика, шоколад, слива, шишка, табак. Сухое, кислотность средняя плюс, тело среднее минус, танин высокий, чуть сушит но округлый. Чернослив в шоколаде. Сладковатое, шоколадное послевкусие. Хочется дать ему времени для выдержки.

Special vineyard selection of Banfi Brunello. Dried berry, lemon and chocolate; full body, strong tannins; long finish . Close to 2010 vintage, this 2011 doesn't disappoint.
