Torre Zambia Pecorino “Poggio Salaia” 2021: Clean. Bright. Balanced. Notes of lemon, orange & lychee. Soft minerality & a crisp, dry finish. Made with 100% Pecorino grapes from the Abruzzo region of Italy, this is the perfect wine for enjoying as an aperitivo or with a meal. For me, this would pair perfectly with fish, cheeses or white meats! Let’s not forget to mention: It’s sustainable. It’s organic. It’s vegan. Cheers🍷 — 2 years ago

Very pleasant Pinot Noir fermented and aged in terracotta amphorae. Smell of small red fruits it’s very juicy on the palate with good acidity and freshness. — 2 years ago
Single vineyard 100% Sangiovese, this 13’ Chianti Classical Riserva displays
fragrant nose of sour cherry, strawberry, thyme, balsamic, incense, hint of violet and barnyard. Great fruit intensity on the palate with lots of earthy nuances. High yet round acidity. Polished grippy tannins lead to an elegant long finish.
This would stand tall to a lot of BdM. — 2 years ago
Delicious! Dark chocolate, blackberry, black currant, a little spicy and sweet. WS northern Italy tasting. — 2 years ago

I bought and drank a fair amount of Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre back in the late 1990s, and always enjoyed them. First time in the past 20 years, this seems a little softer and polished, a little lower ABV (13.5 vs. 14+ in earlier vintages), this is vinified using conventional fermentation as well as some ripasso fermentation (think Amarone drying grapes on straw mats), and has some very nice complexity and length, very nice!! — 8 days ago
