Popped and poured, the 2020 pours a deep ruby with near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with dark fruits with brambles and cassis, tobacco, just a touch of green bell pepper, earth, and baking spice. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A balanced and charming example from Pessac-Leognan that’s giving pleasures in its youth. An estate on the rise. Drink now through 2035+. — 2 years ago
Dark rust, translucent, mature on the nose (leather and cherries) and palate (cherries, red currants and tobacco) from this fine Pessac-Leognan Bordeaux blend — a year ago
Nice, understated, classic Bordeaux — 6 months ago

First pour had teeth; it needed 2 hours to calm down, and probably would benefit from several more hours. Astringent and bitter up front, with blackberry, sour cherry, licorice, stone, and orange peel. Will adjust my note on day 2.
