Another oldie from our family cellar, well aged, dusty herbal aroma, brick colored on the rim, great weight and texture, an elegant joy from start to finish. — 2 years ago
Very good. A deep & intense nose: with plum, blackcurrant. A leather & smoke (palate). — a month ago
Popped and poured, the 2020 pours a deep ruby with near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with dark fruits with brambles and cassis, tobacco, just a touch of green bell pepper, earth, and baking spice. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A balanced and charming example from Pessac-Leognan that’s giving pleasures in its youth. An estate on the rise. Drink now through 2035+. — 3 months ago

Pomegranate, cassis, bitter/unsweetened chocolate, forest floor, graphite, ash (but not smoke), dried strawberry, clay dust — there’s a little blueberry in there too. Elegant and subtle with many flavors I can’t pinpoint. Could age a long while. Wine with a capital “W.” 94…others with better palates would probably go higher. — 7 days ago
