@Delectable Wine this is the Blanc de Noir*
One of Piedmont’s newest DOCs — for Metodo Classico wines from traditional French varieties. Why should Franciacorta & Trentodoc have all the fun? Great opener to one of best lunches / meals we had in Italy. — 2 years ago
Ghemme is my sentimental favorite of the Novarese DOCs. I had a really good one when I was in my last year of college and starting my wine journey. It generally is one of the heavier and, sometimes, earthier of the group. This one is very good. Still youthful, it takes time to open up, but slowly reveals dark cherry, mahogany furniture, crushed minerally gravel, and roasted meat scents. Medium full, it’s got concentrated and tight dark cherry fruit, very fine-grained but abundantly chalky tannins, and very nice acidity. No rush to drink this. Enjoy over the next 4-5 years, maybe longer. — 3 years ago

Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of red plum, blackberry, and tabacco; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and medium intensity primary and secondary flavors of raspberry, black cherry, and dried leaves with a long finish. This wine is balanced and complex, but lacking in intensity. Overall, I would rate this wine as very good. Nellie likes it, too. — a month ago
