Dom Pérignon

Brut Champagne Blend 2012

Way too young… but fully enjoyable at this stage. Not much nose… green apple and pear… wonderful balance! Wondering where this will go , but a joy with halibut and salmon in a state where laws make drinking problematic. Assume this will close up like a sea turtle, but lots of pleasure already. Look for a competitive price… but stock up. — 20 days ago

Yellow Label Brut Champagne Blend

Latest bottle of this classic bubbly! Blended with the traditional Champagne grapes, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier. Aromas of pear, peach and freshly baked bread. More Lemon/lime on the pallet with notes of green apple, apricot, orange and brioche. Spicy hint on the long finish. Nice mouse and vibrant bubbles and acidity. Crisp and fresh tasting. Consistently delicious. — 2 months ago

Chateau Montelena

Napa Valley Chardonnay 2016

Pale yellow in color with a fruity nose.

Light to medium in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry and very fruity on the palate, with a nice mouthfeel.

Showing limes, lemons, light earth, light wood, green and yellow apples, light vanilla, herbs, spices, pears and white pepper.

This 7 year old Chardonnay is drinking very nicely now. Nicely balanced and feels much younger than it is.

47 years ago, this wine won the Judgment of Paris competition, and it is still showing great quality.

Spicy and entertaining. Elegant and fruity. Great by itself as a sipping wine.

I've had a few vintages of this Chardonnay, and it definitely gets better with bottle time. Consistently good and delicious now.

100% Chardonnay grapes were aged in French Oak barrels for 10 months.

13.6% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$60 (current vintage).

Cloudy Bay

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Pale lemon color with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits and floral notes. On the palate flavors of grapefruit, green apple and pear fruit flavors, some grassy tones, lively acidity. Medium+ finish ending with fruit, herbal, floral, grassy and mineral notes. Lightly chill so you can experience all of the nuances while you sip this fine wine. Nice, consistent. — 18 days ago
