La Geynale Cornas Syrah 2021

Bloody, broody and fruity. Beautiful expression of a great vineyard from Cornas. — 21 hours ago

Crozes-Hermitage Syrah 2018

Very much on the dark, earthy, minerally side. So dark and full of smoky ember crushed stone that I’d almost be tempted to place it half-way around the world in Walla Walla. Palate is rich and dark, a highlights more savory minerally notes than fruit. Distinctive and good but not a typical fruity Crozes. — 6 months ago

Fresh, earthy and savory. Relatively light on its feet for a Northern Rhône. Fantastic QPR — 2 years ago

Paris Tasting Commemorative Napa Valley Chardonnay 2018

Guessed a warm vintage, New World Chard in our blind. Close enough. Big wine, but balanced I felt. Exotic fruit and rich oaky flavours, super dense, very long finish, and crisp acidity. Needs lots of air. Will be nice to revisit with age. — 8 months ago

Les Côtes Saint-Joseph Syrah 2022

No notes. Beef jerky & dark cherries, on nose & palate. Thinner concentration I had hoped for, but suspect age, air and/ or long decant will bring it together — 3 months ago

Spring Street Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

9.0

PnP. Drinking young. Very dark, thick red color. Medicinal tones, cedar, and dark cherries on the nose with some oak. Same on the palate. Seems higher than the 14.4 OH. Next to zero finish which is disappointing. Average Napa Cab right now and seems way overpriced at $60+. — 9 months ago
