French Chardonnay..! Oak barrels, honey, fresh — 2 years ago

Always such a singular wine. It has the weight and richness of a white Rhône, with the acid and mineral tension of a great white burg. I like to say “Chaveneau.” It’s stunningly aromatic with layered depth and complexity, wafting from the glass with ripe tropical fruit, hazelnut, wildflower honey and pastry cream. The palate is rich and intense, but retains focus and balance along with killer volume, an elegant texture and excellent length. I continue to prefer GDP blanc to the rouge. — 9 months ago
Rhône white blend of Roussanne (40%), Grenache Blanc (40%) and Viognier (20%). Straw gold color. Lemon and lime zest on the nose with a hint of fresh herbs and white flowers. Pallet is full of pineapple, unripe peach and a touch of unripe grapefruit. Medium bodied with a pleasant texture and mouthfeel. Nicely balanced. Solid QPR. — 2 years ago
