Delicious - classic Pommardian nose of ripe cherries, sassafras, and warm warm spices. Med bodied, elegant, generous mid palate, everything in place and balanced w/impressive length on finish. — 10 days ago

Meiomi

Monterey County Pinot Noir

Had a fine dining restaurant bartender recommend this to me about 10 years ago. Have tried and enjoyed multiple Pinots since then. But then I have the Meiomi again and wonder why I bother with anything else. Dark cherry, blackberry, mocha, cinnamon, allspice and a hint of oak . . . very smooth. Love it with broiled salmon and shellfish. — 4 days ago

Belle Glos

Clark & Telephone Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

Crafted by Joseph J. Wagner, 4th generation winemaker, with winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Deep Ruby with red berry fruit aromas, tea and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of jammy blackberry and cherry with pronounced sweet vanilla oak, cacao and pepper spice notes. Soft tannins and bright acidity, well balanced, with mineral tones on a long finish ending with toasty spice! Nice! — 20 days ago

Served blind. We picked this as Morey St. Denis , but didn’t get the producer or the year. Lovely. Minerally. — 5 days ago

Ruinart

Brut Rosé Champagne

Popped and poured; enjoyed as an aperitif prior to dinner. The NV Brut Rosé pours a very pretty pink color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of raspberry, strawberry, spring flowers, some brioche, lemon citrus and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. The fruit is round in a good way. Balanced. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and chalky. This is a classy NV Rosé that’s easy for the wine nerd and the crowd to appreciate. Drink now. No disgorgement data. — 2 days ago

First time trying this producer.
Muted nose, but displayed good taught acidity and grip on the mid-palate, with classic cola notes. Nice depth and freshness.

Enderle & Moll

Liaison Pinot Noir 2018

A little VA which blows off. Then a cherry freak show which calms down. Dark and morello cherries. Chalky. 13.5%. Quite rich and a little atypical for E&M. Needs more time to resolve fruit (3-5 years). — 17 days ago

Sea Smoke

Southing Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

2021 vintage. Magnum format. Medium body. Decently aromatic nose but not striking. Smooth draw with a modicum of raspberry and clove on the finish. Needs to drop a little bit of the oak influence which will likely take 7-10 years. 6.6.24. — 19 days ago
