The 2017 Barolo is a pretty dense wine from proprietor Nicola Oberto. I am used to seeing a bit more finesse and transparency here, but the 2017 is quite a powerhouse. Large-grained tannins add to that impression. Time in the glass brings out hints of spice and tobacco, and yet the 2017 remains a bit rough around the edges. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2021)

Third wine of Chateau Rauzan-Ségla. Intense cassis and blackberry with earth notes sourced from younger vines. Egidio, you'd probably really like this. 92+ — 9 years ago
Smooth fruity nose. Reminds me as much of a Pinot Noir as it does of a Cabernet (not a lot of Nebbiolo experience is why). Soapy and steely attack on the palate. Some sweetness that I'd say stems from the 15% abv. Highly tannic, and that's also what lingers for ages. — 11 years ago

Plum, dried plums, cherry, leather, a bit of graphite too. The nose is very inviting. The palate is well made with a great acid backbone, light, drying tannins, cherry notes, a soft mouthfeel and a long fruity finish that calls for another sip. Great dolcetto. — 4 years ago

Lots of lavender, rosemary and rose. The wine still shows some signs of primary aromas and flavors of blackberries, plums and black raspberries. The oak comes through nicely as warm spice, cloves and sandalwood. All well integrated and with med+ acidity. The tannins are velvety. Mature and drinking wonderfully now but it should last another year or two in the cellar. — 10 years ago
