12’ Bure Family Duration. This pic is from Wine-Searcher. Threw out the bottle last night. Held onto this last bottle for an additional 18 months. Very much enjoying the 2012’s right now. Honestly, tasting better than ever.
This Cabernet combines power & finesse, with gorgeous supple flavors of blackcurrant, black cherry, blackberry, loads of sweet oak(not in a bad way) Full -bodied with low acidity. Without a doubt the best BURE I’ve enjoyed to date. — 2 days ago
Time for a good #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a great one from Napa Valley.
Inky in color with a short purple rim.
Showing black fruits with cedar, earth, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, coke, chocolates, dark coffee, leather, spices and peppercorn.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with nice balance and mouthfeel.
This is a delicious Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley. Complex and opulent, and might be too much for some.
Dark, rich and handsome. Very tasty now, although still young. Will be nice to revisit it in 10 years.
Robert Parker 95 points. Thank you Scott for sharing.
Good by itself or with food, like a big piece of steak.
A blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Cabernet Franc, 15% Petit Verdot and 4% Merlot.
15.2% alcohol by volume.

I was very curious to try this 2018 Bevan Dr. Crane vineyard Cabernet, so I opened it and poured into the decanter as soon as the FedEx guy delivered it. It’s delicious and very different for a Bevan Cabernet. It has lots of tobacco leaf and herbs on the nose with the fruit playing a background role at the moment. For such a young wine, the palate has the caressing texture of pure cashmere. It’s really an outstanding wine. — 11 days ago
Nose has over-ripe/sweet pineapple, lanolin, fresh pineapple, melted candle wax, clean cotton tee shirt and faint white pepper.
Palate has dried pineapple, dried lime peel, tangerine peel, spicy oak, waxy yellow apple peel, hint of (citrus) sweetness on the long/complex finish. Wow. Decanted 4H.
Bought at the winery in 2008, was looking to hold the bottle at least this long, maybe another 5Y would still be acceptable in proper storage. A perfect, clean cork pull, no seepage or saturation at all. — 17 days ago
