Tart cherry fruit. These reds from Chassange Montrachet are always softer to me. My wife got this from a cool little wine shop in Franklin Michigan. Thanks tangerine wine for the suggestion and my wife for taking the suggestion. — 6 months ago

Never had the reds but haven’t seen Jean Noël Gagnard in over two decades in San Diego County, CA. Whites were always super-fleshy.

Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru Chardonnay 2010

9-Liter! So powerful, it’s fresh, slight apple caramel tart with a touch of cinnamon. Pear (just ripe) brioche. Beautiful structure, so long, palate just stunning. Exceptional, — 4 months ago

Domaine Michel Briday

Rully Chardonnay 2021

Pale lemon with aromas of white stone fruits, citrus, honey and floral scents, sourced from 4 different vineyards, exemplifying Rully terrior. On the palate flavors of peach, pear and lemon, well balanced, crisp, lively acidity, medium+ length ending with notes of vanilla, spice and chalky mineral character. — 8 months ago

Cornas Syrah 1985

Lunch in Yountville for my wife’s birthday (decorum prevents discussing numbers, though I can’t even count that high!?!?) — decanted off the sediment, intense bacon fat and smoky notes, wine is in amazing condition, great on palate, really shows that rustic Cornas character, super long finish, really a spectacular Verset Cornas, cheers to Noel Verset!!! — 4 months ago

@Ira Schwartz, it was, maybe the single greatest bottle of Cornas I’ve ever drank. @Tom Casagrande, she was happy, so I earned another year on my life sentence. . . . 🤷👀🙄
