Expressive nose, a bit reduced at first, then on ti ripe cherries, cocoa, liquorice , plums. Ample bodied, son of a dry and hot vintage, acidity that holds the alcohol and hood length and youth for a 2012. Remarkable, unexpected village, Albelda, must be the high land on the way to Clavijo. — 3 months ago

18-. Very sophisticated wine. Smooth, deep, long. The epitome of serious Rioja. Not spectacular, but give me more. — a month ago
Medium straw lemon , with hint of green . Shows a touch of age with slight petrol notes along with the lemongrass , smoky , spicy , ripe apple . On the palate good density , with a creamy richness , those lemongrass , ripe apple , slightly spicy notes . Slightly rich and weighty though with lovely balanced acidity and good length . Really good now though can go a further 5-8 years without too much problem — 3 months ago

Dark violet-red color with aromas of fruit, spices and sweet notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, blueberry and plum with cacao, vanilla and black pepper. Firm tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, spice and herb mineral character. Drinking ok now! — 3 months ago

Enjoy this wine. Full bodied, very dry. Lots of dark fruit, tobacco. Paired well with pasta in a red sauce but would be great on its own as well. — a month ago
