Interesting. Nutty. Unusual. Some tartness to it. Good QPR — 7 months ago
Pierre Moncuit is already one of my favorite producers but a zero dosage vintage bottle is just glorious. The nose starts off a touch shy but soon blossoms with floral notes and plenty of citrus. There’s a bit of a dessert quality here with a little brioche and cinnamon apples.
A very precise and laser focused champagne from Mesnil. With no added dosage, the terroir really sings. Beautiful acidity creates a jolt of electricity in the glass. Lithe and lean, there’s complexity and characters here for days. Many, many years left for this to grow but it’s hard to pass up right now. — a year ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour leading up to dinner. The 2012 Millésime BdB Grand Cru Extra Brut pours a light straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is fresh and developing with tropical fruit notes of passion fruit, star fruit, apple, lemon/lime citrus, a light whiff of brioche and chalky minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and luxurious. Another delicious 2012 and another lovely BdB from Pierre Moncuit. Drinking well now and should through 2042 easy. — a month ago
