Isola delle Falcole Toscana Vecchia Vigna Sangiovese Blend 2018

Tuscany in a bottle! No, literally. It’s from Tuscany. But anyhews, lots of fun grapes in here after the predominant Sangiovese. Earthy and floral! — a year ago

Casamatta Rosso Toscana Sangiovese 2015

Killer. Phenomenal Sangiovese blend. Better than most Chiantis. Light, subtle fruit, tasty. — 6 years ago

Grilli Toscana Sangiovese Blend 2018

Medium Ruby color with aromas of dark berry fruit and earthy spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and raspberry with tobacco, floral and earthy notes. Full-bodied, well balanced soft chewy drying tannins on a smooth medium+ finish. — 8 months ago

Casamatta Toscana Rosso Sangiovese 2019

Bibi Graetz entry level pizza wine. Opened the day before it does the trick. Love the label… liked that it wasn’t overly fruity. — 2 years ago

Grilli Toscana Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2018

Billed with one of my favorite Italian words, “grilli” — literally “crickets”, colloquially “whims”. Pinkerton sings “Amore o grillo?” in Butterfly, wondering if his love is true.

The wine is a damn pleasurable pop and pour at $30. Ripe with sweet red fruit on the nose, and glides into an unctuous inky plum and cocoa thing on the palate. Very drinkable, would be a heavenly cheeseburger wine.
@Delectable Wine this years blend is 80/20 Cab/merlot, no Sangiovese as in the title here.
