Very fruit-forward with dark cherry, cherry compote, some kirsch, but also some evolved Balsamico notes plus a background of tobacco, tomato leaf and earth. Starts off quite one dimensional, but evolves with time (and starts to shine on the next day)
The palate is bold for a Chianti Sangiovese - full of stewed & overripe cherry plus bit of stewed figs, with some savoury herbs and big, burly, rustic tannins. Is not subtle or very fresh but it has personality.
At this price point though, there are much better wines to be had.

Very good- medium body typically Sangiovese- strong bouquet of maybe bark & tabacco. Very earthy, black plum and maybe blackberry
