Finally got to try to see what the fuss was about and it really delivered. Beautiful color, gorgeous, glowing Rubi in the glass, took a sip when we first started, and then an hour later and then over the course of a meal and it definitely developed. Went from closed off to floral with beautiful notes of Violet and rose and a lot of cooked fruits with spices. A little more acid structure than I thought for most Tuscan wines, but still punched very well above its weight, granted I got this at a very big discount so if I paid retail, maybe I’d be singing a different song but for the price and for the flavors, it was worth it across the board.  — a day ago

Just a hint of sweetness with some pears, apples and maybe? cotton candy. So refreshing and I just REALLY LOVE Riesling.

There was this German audio series when I was younger calling Bibi und Tina (also adapted to TV and film - it may have just been called Bibi Blocksberg back in the day) where there was this one character called Alexander von Falkenstein, and honestly every time I look at this label it’s difficult not to associate the name. This Pinot Blanc was badass. Some unusual melon character from Champagne. This was the 2013 and had a bit of oxidation but the acid was still enough that this was a broad, well drank champagne. Interesting that the green melon had flecks of chalk. The body was full and continued on the same line as the nose. Thanks Bibi Jis! — 7 years ago

"Bibi", vin de Savoie ( Gamay & Mondeuse) by Gilles Berlioz ( Domaine Partagé). This small 6 hectares estate produces excellent wines, but they don't come cheap.This entry level has so much flavour with only 11,5 % alcohol. A delightful drinking wine. — 3 years ago

Billed with one of my favorite Italian words, “grilli” — literally “crickets”, colloquially “whims”. Pinkerton sings “Amore o grillo?” in Butterfly, wondering if his love is true.

The wine is a damn pleasurable pop and pour at $30. Ripe with sweet red fruit on the nose, and glides into an unctuous inky plum and cocoa thing on the palate. Very drinkable, would be a heavenly cheeseburger wine. @Delectable Wine this years blend is 80/20 Cab/merlot, no Sangiovese as in the title here. — 6 years ago
