Enjoying this knowing my Cornhuskers already punched their ticket to their first ever Sweet 16 last night in one of the games of the tournament so far.

At this point, it’s a “pick’em” between the Bérêche Brut Réserve and Caillez-Lemaire’s “Éclats” for the title of, “Kline Fam house Champagne”. They just delivery in the way I want/trust/expect and can afford. This is the November 2025 disgorgement. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of three hours. The Brut Réserve pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of apple, pineapple, raspberry, lemon curd, brioche, marzipan, and a mix of chalk and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and laden with minerals. So easy to love. Drink now but you can hold for many years if you want as well. — 2 months ago

This is my last bottle of 3 and wish I had more… this has been consistently excellent and has taken on a dark gold color with toasted brioche notes while maintaining its lip smacking acidity don’t hesitate to drink it should you have the opportunity to enjoy it — a month ago

One of the most genuinely delightful champagnes I’ve tasted in forever. Such great vim and vigor shown here. A deep, golden color in the glass with pleasant perlage. The nose is immediately charming with an abundance of crisp green apples and roasted nuts. Mild spices with red cherries for days along with the customary bread aromas.

If pure Meunier champagnes have no fans, then I am dead. As expected, Bereche offers one of the finest expressions of the grape. Electric and alive with just the right acidity and intense minerality running throughout. Very expressive with nice depth at this early stage in its life. The palate displays more brioche and apple notes. Almonds, cherries, and a slight touch of lemon zest. One of the most interesting wines I’ve had in a while and utterly delicious. — a month ago

Im nervous it froze a bit or was affected by weather for new years. Will never know

There was a slight bitterness at first. It faded with air time.
