Chardonnay from Pouilly-Fuissés’ less famous neighbor, about 10km south-west of Mâcon in southern Burgundy. Aged in stainless steel and oak for 6 months. Pale yellow color. Delicate. Some floral notes

Love this producer. This Macon is showing a more savory side than the Pouilly wines of the same vintage. Open knit and easy going, this caresses the palate with notes of yellow apples and herbs, with marzipan and a slate-y oyster shell minerality on the finish. Fairly rich and broad. Open for business and drinking very well. Very tasty stuff. — 4 years ago
Pears, apples, chalk, macadamia nut. Still has years to go. Very well made. — 9 months ago
Pouilly and Fuissé are the names of two villages in the Mâconnais region, located at the foot of the famous Solutré and Vergisson rocks. The vineyards cover a total of 850 hectares which are divided between four communes. Medium lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and nutty floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, melon and lemon citrus with notes of honey and nutty oak. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity and ends with minerality. Nice! — a year ago
More balanced and precise than the ‘17. Apple-blossom, baked bones...along with a concentration and complexity that suggests Pouilly-Fuissé way more than Mâcon. — 5 years ago
The 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé En Bertilionne comes from vines planted in the 1950s on the border of the appellation next to Mâcon-Solutré, located on pink marn soils. It is exposed to the wind and is prone to oïdium. It has a discrete bouquet, reluctantly offering yellow fruit and oily aromas. A faint touch of menthol might become accentuated with bottle age. The palate is crisp, fresh and well-balanced. A pleasant bitter lemon note counterbalances what feels like a slightly richer style of Pouilly-Fuissé. Perhaps it doesn't fully possess the same complexity on the finish as other vintages I have tasted. Nevertheless, it will age well in bottle. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2023)

From vines up to 80 years old, pale lemon with aromas of stone fruits, citrus and floral aromas, aged 50% in older French oak barrels and 50% in stainless for 8 months. On the palate flavors of ripe apple and peach, citrus and honeysuckle, lively acidity with smoky spice notes. Long finish ending with a creamy texture and wet mineral character. Very nice, only 900 cases, will age some. — 3 years ago

Really good, full-bodied. Despite being young wine, it has a lot of flavour. @Joelia, Rotrerdam — 5 months ago
