Quilceda Creek

Washington Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Decanted for 3 hours before dinnner and paired with wagyu filet

Generally good robust fruit flavors but overall this wine seemed muted and did not pop with anything special. Somewhat surprised - maybe an off bottle. Still good and enjoyable with meal but shy of expectations

Quilceda Creek

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

Delicious dark fruits and fragrant nose, opening up as time passed after uncorking. The tannins have all but melted away and the wine is fully mature and drinking beautifully. A little surprised that the mid palate was not as heavy as expected but it could be the impact of the 19 years of aging. Brought this one to the restaurant from home. — a month ago

Quilceda Creek

Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

I gave this a lot of air and it’s still not where I was hoping it would be. Sure it’s not a CA Cab but still. It’s light on the palate, not a great finish and a more tannic, drying overall than I prefer. — a month ago

@Shay A , respect your experience as you make have tasted more than than I ever will. In general, my experience is that most U.S wines don’t have longevity like many old-world wines. But my comment does not apply to all. Frankly, after all these years in bottle, if it hasn’t come around by now, will it ever? And if it does, was it worth the wait?

At 2600 you are no slouch @Ron R not sure this will come around but if it did it was worth the wait :)
