Tighter than my previous bottle and needed a solid 45–60 minutes to really come alive, but once it did the wine was beautiful: dark cherry, a hint of licorice, florals and tremendous purity. The palate is velvety, sweet, haunting and ethereal, but still carries the amplitude, richness and density of a great 2018, with that distinctive Clos des Chênes sweetness and depth. Brilliant now, but I would still give it another three or four years if I had more bottles. — 9 days ago

Tamber Bey . 2018. Cabernet sauvignon. Yountville - Napa Valley. My new favorite vineyard in California. I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a good California cab. And when I say hundreds I mean hundreds. Finally!!!!!!!! This is the third bottle and they have all held true over the past six months. It’s not tart it’s not sour and has no crazy aftertaste. Just DANG good cab! Instead of describing what it is I’m going to describe what it’s not . Basically everything we don’t like in a wine is not here!!!!!!
