From a 1ha parcel of vines nearing 100 years old. If memory serves me correctly, Catherine and Pierre had introduced biodynamic practices the previous year (1994).

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 1995 Les Perrières pours a deep garnet with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of brambles, Poblano pepper, purple flowers, graphite, leather, a touch of horse blanket, some fine warm spices and gravelly minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, grippy and mineral laden. Delicious. I love where this wine is at today. Drink now but well stored examples will likely live well past 2035. — 2 months ago

In beautiful shape, better than I remember the last bottle being. Dried red and black fruits, dry dusty tannins, forest floor, dried porcini mushroom and old leather umami nodes, cedar, dried herbs. Did I mention it’s dry? But it’s a beautiful wine, the flavor profile exudes sun baked warmth but the alcohol clocks in at less than 12% so it doesn’t fatigue the palate — 3 years ago

This is the closest I’ve ever come to Coche-Dury in a glass without actually drinking Coche-Dury. Same electric mineral snap. Same charged, high-tension citrus and stone. Same feeling of a white wine lit from within, like the whole thing is running on buried voltage. I am now on a mission to find this wine, because once you taste a Bourgogne Blanc that opens a little side door to Meursault heaven, you do not just shrug and move on. — 3 months ago

Really nice overall, but definitely lost quite a bit from night 1 to 2. Pretty refined but with great earth and body. Has a bit of a rounded crunchy fruit quality in a nice way. Nice pairing with chicken thighs with feta and olives but was probably a better pairing a few years ago. Still nice and always appreciate bize. — 3 months ago
