This low-alcohol poundable has a great nose of orange blossom, but the palate is all lime and mineral. I didn't think much of it in the tasting room, but at home while canning jam in our steamy kitchen, theis really hit the spot. I actually quite like it — 4 years ago
V11. Outstanding. Soft cedar and eucalyptus nose. Rich blackberry , currant and plum fruit. Smooth, zippy, leather finish. Well balanced. — 5 years ago
I’ve had both La Muse and La Joie so I was happy to get to try Le Désir. I think I like this cab franc dominated blend the best. The nose is floral with green fresh notes. On the palate it’s rich, full bodied with a luxurious velvety texture. Dark fruit, bell pepper, spices, licorice with powdery tannins that starts to melt into the wine completely. Starting to hit its peak. — 2 years ago

Nice, not great - stumbled on this in a small out of the way wine store, owner had personal friendship w/Jeff Gordon. Present very dark ruby, semi-opaque w/Old World nose of dusty cherry & rhubarb, musty, earthy, forest floor, some red berried fruit & currants, med bodied, smooth - believe this lost considerable weight over the years, more elegantly styled than sturdy & robust like many Napa cabs. Glad I got this on closeout pricing, pretty solid wine overall. — 3 years ago

After a slightly disssapointing bottle a couple of weeks ago, this was firing on all cylinders. The ideal marriage of fresh, restrained bdx and USA richness. Beautiful dusty spices on the nose. Morello cherries and mouth watering acidity on the palate. — 16 days ago
