2021. Drove to Omaha to attend an Arnot-Roberts wine class and tasting, and got there early to enjoy some delicious oysters with a bottle of fantastic Chardonnay that wasn’t on the tasting list. Dark in the glass and not playing around. A shocking amount of structure here. Elevated tannin and acid working in tandem with brooding, peppery fruit and a streak of citrus lurking beneath. Pair with lamb chops or a dry aged ribeye. Showed best after a few hours open. — 19 days ago
