This is the non riserva. The every day Aglianico per se. Nose of black plum, black flowers, tar, tobacco and superb minerality. Anise as well. Super Italian smelling. LOL. Palate is so juicy and lovely with ripe black fruits and lovey interspersed minerality and just so well made. Lovely stuff. Great concentration and delineation. Long, fresh and structured. Love this. — a day ago
I just love these wines! This one is 100% Greco from Italy. Very crisp and citrusy, will pair perfectly with muffuletta on crostini before dinner. It’s so hot and humid here right now this is going to be so refreshing! Happy Father’s Day weekend to all you dads out there! — 17 days ago
Calafe l’aura irpinia rose.
Nose is lovely. Grapefruit flower. White flowers. As this opens amazing density. Truly piercing.
Palate is such juicy fruit. Some grapefruit. Strawberry. But blended so not sweet and not bitter. Elite deliciousness. None of that metallic rose crap. Good acidity but not too much. Not super complex. You do get some floral internal aromatics though. This could be more complex with age.
Juicy finish. — a month ago
So different. Ash and olive really come through on this vintage. Striking when it first hits the tongue, lingers a bit but mellows nicely as you drink. — a month ago
