Sunnyvale Murphy second bottle durif lynx @ vino vino — 6 years ago
Nice wine...too bad I only purchased one bottle. Close out so nice price as there won’t be any more St. Clement from Treasury group. Too bad the system won’t allow you to insert location. I’m home after a nearly two month trek. — 7 years ago
Wonderful and I felt lucky to enjoy. Great body. Perfect steak wine — 8 years ago
The Vineyardist 2nd label.
This one surprised me by how much air it needed to open up. Had a splash on day 1 and immediately corked it back up for a day 2 decant. Definitely not an over extracted Cabernet just to please the masses. My ratings might be higher than others but I work these wines to get the best out of them.
Interesting note I found-
The Vineyardist is a Diamond Mountain property with a long history. In the late 19th century it was purchased by a Dutch shipping captain who planted vineyards and made wine. During prohibition the vineyards were replaced with nut and prune orchards. In 2000 the property was purchased by Dirk Fulton and Becky Kukkola, who began replanting some of the 80 acres to vineyards. — 7 months ago

Quite a few on winebid tomorrow, I didn’t realize they have more than just one main high end label now.Bought this at the Treasury store in Napa. Not remembering what I paid but it was nicely discounted as Treasury sold off the property and was closing out the brand. Holding up well. — 5 years ago
Still going strong, I wish I had a few more bottles. It reminds me that Merlot received a bad rap in Sideways.

Smelled amazing — 5 months ago
Nearly black in glass with no variation; blood when underlit. Nose shows rich black currant, cassis, licorice and espresso notes accented with violet and pecan; Black cherry and tobacco peek through cinnamon and nutmeg. Sensuous. Heavier mouthfeel shows focused blackberry, prune and mocha, coffee liqueur and vanilla bean, powerful tobacco and a soft cedar. Tannins well integrated, and resonance unparalleled with dark fruits washing like an ocean at night.

Thanksgiving dinner with family. Needed a second CS to do side by side with 2014 Oakville Ranch. Great side by side selections. I liked this a bit better than the Oakville Ranch. This seemed to hold up better. — 5 years ago
Best cab I’ve had all year. This smells very fruity and acidic but is incredibly smooth and subtle on the palette with a full bodied finish. — 6 years ago
I am very excited to drink this. From old vine Zin grapes grown on my favorite site (Beatty Ranch in Howell Mountain). And on cue it delivers that classic Beatty Ranch earthy black peppercorn spice on the nose, hovering over dark, very spicy blackberry and crushed rock. Absolutely attacks the palate with savory flavors. But no jamminess in the least. Very full but the 14.5 is well hidden. Such a long finish. Love this. — 7 years ago

Along with Monte Rosso, one of my two favorite Zin sites in California. It’s got that trademark cracked black peppercorn earthiness, a little Mourvèdre like tree bark, and super bright black cherry fruit. Interesting port-like and resiny notes too. Intense and linear in the mouth, with surprisingly crisp and zingy acids. Tastes way more youthful than its 9 years. Such flavor density and intensity. Remarkable length of finish. Unique for sure. Two thumbs up from my son in law. — 4 days ago
