Bright light golden color. Fragrant aromas of baked apple and pear along with notes of white flowers and wet stones. The palate is full of apple, pineapple and orange flavors. Hint of baking spices on the very long and chalky finish. Quite full bodied, intense and powerful. Rich and concentrated mouthfeel. Thanks Kase! — 2 months ago
H and c. Gnocchi sausage mushroom ragu. Very very good. No tannin. Decanted 2x. Left to breathe 5 hours. — 11 days ago
Bought at Wally’s @ Resort World. Big fan of this store. Great selection and not insane prices. With $50 cork fee pretty much everywhere in Vegas, very good option. I will say they don’t have many wines that are “ready” outside of the high end room.
Not rating yet as just popped in the room while watching women’s final. Heart says Iowa, bet says go SC. — a month ago
2020 vintage. A blend of 57,5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, and 4,5% Petit Verdot. Medium-bodied, with fresh cassis fruit and a tannic structure with some rough edges. Will probably benefit from a bit more bottle age. Decent value at 15 euro. Abv. 13,5%. — 21 days ago
Good freshness. Not a bruiser. Nimble with food. Lovely wine for the price. — a month ago
I opened this bottle of the 2013 “Cuvée Marie Beurrie” the day before and poured into a ship’s decanter for a couple of hours before returning to the bottle. In the glass, just, wow. This is developing still with the darkest brambles and stone with purple flowers and garrigue. This is so beguiling, so deep with tannins and acid for days. Full of power and grace and stunner with cassoulet, Toulouse sausage and duck confit. This could use another decade easily and drink well through 2053. — 2 months ago
