The 2019 Etna Bianco Superiore Pietra Marina captivates. It’s perfumed and floral, with enriching notes of almond paste and confectionery spice that perfectly accentuate a smoky core of white peaches. There’s more lift on the palate, but it's a little backward, possessing wiry textures and an intense mineral core that adds depth to its citrus-inflected orchard fruits. Nervous acidity forces the mouth to water and maintains a dazzling freshness as inner florals resonate and a sour lime concentration settles in. The 2019 is just an infant today, compact yet complex, balanced and loaded with character. It will be a gorgeous Etna Bianco to follow over the next decade or more. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2024)

Big bright fruit with good acidity. Easy and fun to drink. great with red sauce or pizza — 9 months ago
Second wine still quite young, decant for sure and purple fruit comes alive in the glass. Robust acidity, spice on finish along with fine tannins. #toscana — a month ago
Very very good, much better than American wine — 2 months ago
Some of us, being Nebbiolo supplicants, love Ghemme for its paradoxical meaty, bloody, yet light qualities. This has it in spades, on the edge of cherry cough syrup but never quite there. The woods, especially on the nose. This wine would benefit from a large glass.
It’s a bit of a sneaky, under the radar winery, hopefully for a bit still.
Lots of cherries, loam, dirt, blood, stoniness. Delicious. A ‘17 feels just about right. — 8 months ago
Vanilla, cherry… great pairing with beef tartar here in Vienna Austria 🇦🇹 — a month ago
The 2022 Pinot Grigio opens with a minty flourish, blending crushed green apples with white smoke and ginger. Candied lime and spice complicate its inner sweetness, while green apple notes add contrast toward the close. The tense, medium-length finish ends with salt and sour green melon. $20.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2024) — 8 months ago
Fruity and nice finish. Lacks complexity — 9 months ago

A wonderfully balanced Cabinet blend from Bolgheri. Definitely Cabernet notes but so balanced that nothing stands out. Sassicaia is definitely Bordeaux First or Second Growth standard. Understated but irresistible nonetheless. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon; 15% Cabernet Franc. Probably one of the best non Bordeaux Cabernet blends. — an hour ago
