This is fabulous great wine!! — 5 years ago
Smooth great tasting bourbon at a reasonable price! — 6 years ago
Nose has honey drizzled on citrus peel, (light) candle wax and white flowers.
Palate has sweet citrus, pineapple and under-ripe white peach.
I'm quite satisfied with the development of this bottle, likely can hold until 2021-22, but in a great spot tonight at four years past vintage. — 7 years ago

12 October 2018; Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyards tasting.
Nose of incredible Gardenia flowers, light spices.
Palate has spicy white pepper, dilute honey, long finish.
A great bottle, this varietal thrives in the FLX region, most notably in the HJW vineyards! — 8 years ago
After some rough natural wines today this was a nice reprieve and back to the basics. Easy drinking with good structure and complimentary flavors for the T-bone we had for dinner. Earthy forest notes on the nose and some blackberry and vanilla. Good structure and acidity, fine on its own but great with food. Need to get up to finger lakes soon to try some more. — 8 years ago
2017 Ravine White Springs Vineyard Dry Riesling (Finger Lakes). Nine years old and still seems youthful. Great nose of zesty Granny Smith and slightly unripe Cortland apples and lots of high-toned stony minerality. Palate is concentrated and intense, lots of crisp acid to balance the deep fruit and intense stones. Lipsmackingly delicious. 9.3 (This is a re-post because @Delectable Wine deep-sixed the original) — 2 months ago
A pre-dinner bottle while we do meal prep tonight.
Prior notes still apply:
Nose has lime zest, lime juice, green hay, wet granite/limestone pebbles, oxidized green apple peel, polyethylene tubing and tangerine peel.
Palate has Key lime flesh, cold tangerine slice, apricot skin, wet-pulverized limestone, lemongrass, tangerine zest, (minor) dried apricot and light honey on the medium finish, medium acid, great balance. — 6 years ago
Finger lakes cab franc is so great. Some dark fruits, herbs, underbrush and spice on the nose; medium bodied with a lot of expressive mid palate flavor with decent acidity. — 7 years ago
This was great! — 8 years ago
Straw and green apples and the nose and palate. Finishes like a Granny Smith. Good acidity with some sugar but not too much sweetness. Reserve is a step up but this is a great value. — 5 months ago
2013 vintage. Petrol notes. Waxy. Lanolin. Drinking great. — 2 years ago
What a great winery. Pale straw color. Aroma of pears! ( and green apples and minerals) initial taste of crisp pears , green apples and citrus. A DRY Riesling that is not at all sweet but not dry. A creaminess one is he back. Flavors intensify as it warms. Fantastic on a hot day. — 5 years ago
Excellent smooth Finger Lake wine. Smooth aftertaste. Will drink this again. Great by itself — 8 years ago
I feel that this is probably the best Pinot Noir producer out of the finger lakes although the competition is finally a good one. The nose has a wonderful aroma of currant a plum with undertones of spice including nutmeg and mulling spices. The palate is gorgeously light and elegant but still somewhat juicy at the same time. Flavors of plum, sour cherry and baking spice along with wonderfully balance acidity. The finish is soft and elegant with juicy fruit notes of lingering acidity. Wow... a great pairing for roasted pork. — 8 years ago

Always great! Subtle petrol on the nose and palate. More sweetness than acidity for this vintage. Bold flavors and nice depth. — 21 days ago
