Delish. At first blush, it seems like this will be lighter than it should be, but then a rush of raspberry and brambleberry, with dried spice and earth comes in. Lovely. Had it with steak, and I think the steak over powered it a bit. Maybe better with a cheese plate or chicken or duck… would happily drink this again. — 22 days ago
Drank 2016 in 2025- really great, smooth, yummy from first sip! — 4 days ago
Elegant. Not showing age - no brown even at edges. M+ length. Perfect with Spanish autumn dinner (venison carpaccio, partridge). — 3 days ago
Seriously good Chianti. Black cherry, candied orange, tobacco leaf, nice acid and full body. Maybe even too good for pizza…but good with pizza — 24 days ago
Really enjoyed this with spaghetti bolognese — 12 days ago
Splash decanted directly before service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours out of red Solo cups. The 1981 Gran Reserva Blanco pours, a golden color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of Khalas dates, dried apricot, black lemon, almonds, toasted coconut and marshmallow. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is waxy. A cerebral wine and just lovely stuff. Well stored bottles have a long life yet left ahead. Drink now with patience and plenty of air and through 2051. — 19 days ago
I’m a fan of this Chianti Classico. 5-yr old showing well and a smooth finish. Probably could even improve with more years in the bottle. — a month ago

Chianti classico from Banfi and this reliable producer always delivers quality. It's typical: high acidity, but medium tannins, very dry. A cherry, leather and touch of vanilla. — 6 days ago
