Mount Langi Ghiran

Cliff Edge Shiraz 2020

Lovely cool climate Victoria Shiraz, this is right in the ideal window to drink, spicy notes, blue fruits, very good acid balance, solid!! — a month ago

Show Sparkling Shiraz 2007

Having a Sparkling Shiraz on Christmas Day is a tradition in Australia. This is my first 2007 of 6. These wines have great longevity. Made only in exceptional vintages. Still a lively mousse at 17 years of age. Aged on lees for a minimum of 7 years. Youthful blackberry and chocolate flavours. There is a lot to look forward to with the remaining 5 bottles. — a year ago

@David T Great choice David. Rockford and Seppelt are the 2 best.

Had a Rockford sparkling for Easter once and have been trying to find one ever since!

@Norman Gennaro Seppelt may be easier to find than Rockford.

So frustrating. Whoever owns this app (is it still Vinous?) clearly no longer gives a sh*t about it or its users.

@Tom Casagrande Yes Tom. One had to love wine, as we do, to attempt to keep posting on Delectable.

Sorry to hear you’re still having these terrible posting problems, @Bob McDonald.

Show Sparkling Limited Release Shiraz 2019

Drunk after Rockford Black Shiraz for Xmas lunch. Totally different to the Rockford but held up with its fine structure and length. Perfect follow up with Xmas lunch. — 5 months ago

Don't tell Gary Shiraz 2020

Vintage 2020 | Licorice in smell, cherries, blackberries, I thought it to be pinot noir because it has a certain frivoliy. Wine with a story. Good effort. — 3 years ago

Bin No 1 Great Western Shiraz 2011

2012 Jimmy Watson winner. No Bin 1 or Thompson family made in 20111 due to wet year so all the best fruit in this wine, drinking very nicely but noticeably greenish and lighter due to poor year. — a month ago

The Story Wines

Grampians Super G Syrah Blend 2021

Excellent GSM blend (42% Grenache, 40% Syrah, 18% Mourvèdre) from the Grampians in Western Victoria (Oz), blue and black-fruited Syrah and tree bark Mourvèdre aromas and flavors, less red-fruited Grenache in this subtly higher acid 2021 vs. the 2022 that is also open, finish is a little cleaner and less tannic, long, lingering finish, my preference of this 2021 vs. 2022 showdown. — 7 months ago
