All previous notes of this amazing wine still apply. Savoury earthy mineral meaty berry, black pepper and Bacon all packed in there. I managed to get a dozen out of the 60 dozen made. Cote Rotie on steroids still applies. Will have to exercise some willpower to have each of the remaining 6 bottles at 2 year intervals. Halliday says drink by 2042!! Tasted again 50 weeks later on 31st July 2020, with consistent notes. Must try and stick to the 2 year intervals. Love this style of wine. Only 60 dozen made.

Aug 16th, 2019This was a WOW wine when I first tasted it at the Toowoomba RNA. From Heathcote this is best described as Côte Rotie on steroids! Impenetrably dark in colour with powerful pepper and rich dark fruit. Will easily live for 20 years but amazing now. Spoke to Tom Guthrie, the winemaker, today. He sold all of the 2010 to the Chinese, 2011 not produced as terrible vintage, and this 2012 only 60 dozen for the world of which I took 1 doz. Cool climate yet powerful. Stunning wine. 96 points.

A brilliant effort and only 60 dozen made. Tasted again on 13th July 2018 and it remains thoroughly delicious - herbaceous Full Bodied Spicy and Earthy. 6 bottles done out of the original dozen.
