"Expect a deep, dark glassful, starting with aromas of lush blackberry and notes of violet, smoke, pepper and licorice. On the palate, you’ll find layers of rich, black-fruit flavor and oaky complexity." — 4 years ago
Staying up late attempting to find a vegetarian sub for the classic muscadet + oysters pairing. Life could be worse and so could this. So much lemon, so much seashell nahhhh this is just a glassful picnic lemonade on the damned beach. Pairing coming soon. But tell me what you’d eat with it? — 6 years ago
Light opaque red color. Bright berry notes with a hint of forest-floor on the nose. Beautiful balance for such a youthful wine with an impressive weightlessness on the palate. Absolutely crushable by the water glassful and hard to stop at a single bottle for two. Official initial bottle of the 2022 Holiday week. Merry Christmas, y’all. — 2 years ago
Because if you’re gonna drive all the way to Colorado, you might as well bring some wine with you, right? Steaks on the grill and this glassful of dusty earth, cherries, sandalwood and leather. Needs air, like a lot of Sangiovese, but after an hour it begins really singing. — 3 years ago
Elegant, refined, refined. Classical and giving. The cherries and black dirt, the glassful of violets. Coats the mouth from front to back and holds on, smooth. — 5 years ago
Extremely good for the price (3.99 euro for a liter). — 2 years ago
2020 spring / summer. Always a brambly, wild, vivacious glassful — 4 years ago

This is a very dark wine, almost no light gets through a glassful of it. On the nose there is a complex set of aromas. Dark fruit - blackberry, cassis, blueberry - are met with savory support from the oak. Clove, baseball glove, tobacco, earth and black pepper all play a role in the sniff. The palate is a real discovery - as dark as you like it, with firm tannins and a long finish. In California terms, the shadings are a little more like Paso than Napa - a bit rambunctious and chalky as opposed to silky and demure. In fact, the wine could have convinced me that it was a Syrah, not a Cab, had I been blind tasting it. It’s a wonderful wine that screams for a big, beautiful steak to go with it. — a year ago
