My favorite young Nebbiolo with pure and ripe strawberries, cherries, raspberry, bouquet of red flowers, plus background notes of mushroom and rock dust. Absolutely accessible, including the tannins. Way beyond langhe Nebbiolo. — 16 days ago
Full of impossibly young fruits of the forest, then some smoke and leather emerge with air, but this is barely showing its age. Structure is ready to go with integrated acid and approachable tannins. — 2 months ago
Utterly classic with the purest and cleanest flavors of cherries, flowers, and a bit of prosciutto to make this Barbera and not Nebbiolo. Changed over 3 hours, and started showing cloves, other sweet spice, and citrus zest. Very aromatic. My favorite barbera. — 16 days ago
One of our favorite wines of our trip, this really showed how 2006 has freshness that's taking it further than 2007 (which is still delicious, but richer). This brunello was rich with fruit but refreshing at the same time, and has sprinkles of development adding complexity, but not so much that you really notice it. — a month ago
Out of the gate it was quite rough and undefined, but within 30 minutes opened to a sweet nose of orange, roses, sweet red cherries and strawberries. With flashes of something sweet and green like fried sage. On the palate the tannins are approachable and the acid is searing but integrated. The flavor is more subtle than the aromas and it develops in the glass quite quickly. Moderate finish. But what's there while it's there is quite amazing! Went great with and was improved by a simple dinner of skin-on chicken breast and tomato-sautéed broccoli. — 2 months ago
