Really the apex of the category for me--his had all that clean tropical fruit you'd want, plus a subtle buckwheat honey undertone...just, give me buckets on a hot summer day!! — 7 years ago
I'd never had a wine like this--intense sour candies of pineapple, sour cherry, papaya, mango, and apple on the nose and palate! And the slightest funky dust. Amazing freshness, and utterly balanced. I'd actively seek out more! — 8 years ago
What a unique nose out of the gate--yogurt, graham cracker, lemon juice, and green apple. Excited to see how it opens up! Structurally lean but balanced. Any leaner would be too much. Really evolves and opens to a apple crisp with charred pastry--amazingness. — 7 years ago
This had good aroma, but the acid fell out for me on the palate. — 8 years ago
From a few months ago: a little muted aromatically, but what's there is beautiful and pure. — 7 years ago
This was beautiful--maybe at peak, for my tastes! Intense aroma of tar and earth, but it still had plenty of lifted flavors of roses, lavender, plum, and spice. Structurally balanced and satisfying! — 7 years ago
With some air, this opened a lot to be lean, but balanced by flowery aromatics and complex fruit. Not for contemplation, but like, if you were on a boat and in the sun or something, this may be the perfect bottle. — 7 years ago
Seriously compelling blanc de blancs with intense aromas (they don't all have intense aromas!) of pear, white peach, green apple, spice, and a touch of cream and nuts. Lightning acid on the palate, with a touch of phenolic bitterness. Discernibly similar to a bottle I had from the 90s many months back. I think my favorite young blanc de blancs to date, loving roederers style. — 8 years ago
