Have not had a Barbaresco in a long while. This was ready to approach, but still had years to go. Tight, razor sharp with a nice bite. Licorice, anise, violets, olive, underbrush.

This was beautiful--maybe at peak, for my tastes! Intense aroma of tar and earth, but it still had plenty of lifted flavors of roses, lavender, plum, and spice. Structurally balanced and satisfying!
