Cannubi Barolo Nebbiolo 2019

Ruby/ brick in color with medium intensity.

Strong nose of red fruits with earth, light vegetables, light wood, tobacco and chocolate notes.

Medium bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, spices, peppercorn, light wood, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, earth and light vegetables.

Tangy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 5 year old Barolo from the famous Canubi Vineyard is still a little rigid right now, but already enjoyable. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 20 years, with good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

Very tasty and a good food wine that will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

100% Nebbiolo grapes were only 20% destemmed. Aged for 3 years in large Slavonian oak barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Barolo Riserva Speciale 1937

A lovely smoky dark dried plum with notes of sherry and dried apricot. Great texture and balance. Though the fruit is more to the brown, Madeira end of the spectrum it is Still remarkably fresh and polished. A soulful, fascinating wine. — 2 months ago

Langhe Nebbiolo 2022

昔、ずいぶん綺麗で良かったのだが、最後に飲んだのが、ボリューム感が強くなって、それ以来ご無沙汰。調べてみたら2018で、どちらかと言うと雨の多いしんどい年だったようなんだけど、なんでだろ…

まぁそれはともかく久しぶりに飲んだこちらは、初めて飲んだ時のいいイメージが帰ってきて、素晴らしい出来。
赤い花系の華やかさ、チャーミングな酸とタンニン、すごく良い感じにまとまっている。

プチバローロ ではなく、ランゲネッビオーロとしての独自性を有している。

ペアリング的には鰹ではなく、鰯のトマト煮にピッタリ。
多分、赤身の魚ではなく、青魚が良いんだと思う。

Riserva Barolo Nebbiolo 1924

The color of weak coffee with some bottle of the bottom gunk. Va on the nose and light notes of roses and dried fruit. On the palate very pure and lifted. Obviously aged but softening with air and bright and pretty. What a surprise given it’s a centurion. — 2 months ago

Dense and masculine. Broad white thick fruit. Nice rounded edges. Lacks a little of the complexity of the 67 and 64 but good solid fruit. — 2 months ago

Riserva Barolo 1947

Soft brown in color. Toasted notes with dried fruit, soft plum, tar and some high toned acidity. A slightly austere palate but a haunting fragrant quality. Very pretty. You need to lean in a bit to see the beauty — 2 months ago
