Acts like soda, with agitated foam, but lingers as residual, and, quiet as a mouse. Lacing laced with sediment and has a super galaxy look. Rye toast aromas, with fried egg white and brown herb butter. Also has mocha coffee and pepper, plus oregano dill and bay. Soy sauce soaked tofu entry on a medium bodied palate. Fennel and morel, coffee rye, cumin, and finally the dark caramel and malt emerge in a sarsaparilla and bitter chocolate finish that smacks of Scottish sensibilities, with its earthy complexities and herbaceous mathematics. For 10 bucks at Costco December 2018, the 2015 is a great deal. The 9.0 rating reflects this screaming deal. Definitely a $20 wine in the USA (ok, so under 10 bucks in France). Not a “Beaujolais nouveau at all, but a Beaujolais Galaxy that tastes great three years later and has enough life to last a while longer.

Cherry, hints of vanilla, strawberry, and less of pepper-anise mix with teeniest whiff of tobacco.
A definite buy at $10

Thought I already rated this one, but...drinking. A hazy lil number with a fluffy quilt on top sewn from grapefruit pith. Bright, fresh, tangerine and grapefruit nose, with candied grapefruit peel, lime kefir, and zippy lime zest. Smells like summer! Citrus tangy on the palate as well, with ruby grapefruit deconstruction separating peel from pulp and pith, and cosmic zest shimmering like stardust. Quince, lime slices, lemon with a touch of sugar, dried orange, dried mango, white pepper and edible flower or snap pea, green banana turn to clean fruit married to a bitter finish. Really great beer, with acids calling out salivary catalysts, for a mouth coating, lip smacking interplay. This has such an elegant balance, it seems like something squeezed straight out of the jungle. .
