Cherry, plum and blackberry fruit, with fig, tar, tobacco and spice. Muscular style of Brunello. — 24 days ago
Wine is full bodied, purplish. On nose its violets, black cherries, cheedar, earthy. On palate, its sweet, little spicy, i can taste the brightness from sangiovese buts its more vegal to me. The structure, merlot balanced the syrah so it does mellowed the syrah attack. Long finish, tannic, give it 1 hour decant. Best after 2028.. cheers! 🍷 — 2 months ago
Quite delightful. Crisp and refreshing but not insipid. — 11 days ago
Young vintage, but give it 20 mins in the decanter and it sings! — 3 months ago
Legend says Angelo Gaja planted his first Chardonnay vines in the mid 70s in Piedmont against Italian law. By the late 70s the law was ratified and he could produce and sell Chardonnay. A true rebel. Cheers. — a month ago
Spectacular Super Tuscan Red! Blend of Cabernet Franc (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and Petite Verdot (10%). Dark Ruby color with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of dark berry fruit, red and purple flowers, fresh and dried herbs and a nice earthy component. The lush palate includes flavors of black cherry/currant/raspberry along with savory herbs and dark chocolate. Beautiful mineral note on the extremely long finish. Quite intense, powerful and grippy but also very smooth and silky at the same time. Wonderfully complex. Outstanding!! — 2 months ago
