Stopped in a wine bar in Hiroshima Japan called Lemon Stand. They serve natural wine and tonight’s option is this Sassaia. Wonderful surprise with nice acidity. Notes of apricot and oak but still young. This wine is delicious with the salinity of Hiroshima oysters. — 6 months ago
Medium ruby in color; plums, bell peppers, and paprika on the nose; medium acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like raspberries, jalapeño, and wet slate with a long finish. It's a really interesting flavor. It's not for everyone, but well made. I like it. — a year ago

Another straggler that aged better than expected. Medium bodied with red fruity notes still present balanced by earthy acidic palate — 2 months ago
— 4 months ago
